The YF-S201 water flow sensor is a device that is used to measure the flow rate of water. Working:

A water flow sensor is made up of a plastic valve through which water can pass. A water rotor and a hall effect sensor are used to sense and measure the flow of water.

This induced voltage difference runs in the opposite direction of the electric current. When the moving fan rotates due to the flow of water, the rotor rotates, inducing a voltage.
